It would be wonderful if public domain issues of The Atlantic were accessible to all. Issues in 1927 and earlier are in the public domain in 2023 in the U.S.

It is great that The Atlantic provides links to PDFs of page images because this allows inspection of the original printed text. Typos are unavoidable when using optical character recognition (OCR) with current technology. Hence, it is necessary to examine page scans.
